JUST ASK

It seems that part of the "human" condition is that many of us actually look for ways to make our lives hard. We will take the most difficult option every time. We struggle against the ebb and flow of life, and seem to take some kind of perverse pleasure in looking for brick walls to run into. My goodness, we are slow learners!

No matter what your belief system, it's pretty safe to say that many of us believe in Guardian Angels, Spirit Guides, Totem Animals, and other entities that are "assigned" to us for protection and guidance. One of their rules is that they cannot interfere with our lives unless they are asked for help! They cannot step in and impose their knowledge and wisdom unless it is asked for. What resources we are wasting!!!!!

I have this mental image of a person totally surrounded by a Spirit cloud filled with animals, guides, angels and all manner of spirit messengers just standing around patting their collective feet, scratching their heads with their paws, covering their eyes with their wings, saying "Oh, no. Not that again. The lesson wasn't learned the last time, obviously. So, here goes that same brick wall." BUT THEY CAN'T ACT.

Did you ever hear the expression "Ask and ye shall receive"? How about "Seek and ye shall find", or "All things come to those who ask", or any of the other similar sayings we have all grown up with. What do you think these expressions mean?

If you're having a difficult time in your life, for any reason, ask for help. Be specific. Remember that there is no time in the Universe, so you must make your request specific, and stress *now*. If you ask for help in finding a job, it won't work to say "I need a job. I need work to earn money." Try "I am an experienced bookkeeper. I need a job NOW where I can use my skill and experience. I need to be paid well for my work NOW." Try this. It can't hurt -- unless you enjoy pain and distress and all those other negative emotions.

Help is waiting for you. If you want a better life, just ask. All blessings are yours, just for the asking; if you have faith. Now this does NOT mean that you can sit quietly by with your hands folded waiting for Spirit to drop all these wonderful and positive things in your lap. There is another old truism: "God helps those who help themselves" --- so --- get on with it. Your life can improve, if you ask, and if you are willing to do your part. Namaste.
