Universal Laws LAW OF ATTITUDE — The principle that every experience in your life is controlled by your attitude toward it. If you stump your toe, and see it as an injury, you will be in pain, perhaps run to a doctor, and focus on the physical discomfort until it disables you, or at least severely interferes with your life. On the other hand, if you take that stump as Spirit's message that you need to be more aware of your surroundings and pay greater attention to where you're going, you'll simply say "ouch", and go on about your business. LAW OF KARMA — The highest form of justice which we create for ourselves in payment of past deeds; both good and bad. Karma is the system which returns to each of us, without favoritism, every act ever performed along our evolutionary path, and returns those acts in like kind. If we were abusive, we will be abused. If we treated others with kindness and respect, we will be treated in the same manner. Every time you say "Treat others as you would have them treat you", "Love thy neighbor as thyself", "What you sow, so shall you reap", "What goes around, comes around", "What goes up must come down", and all of the many, many such old sayings which have been created through time, you are reciting the Law of Karma. LAW OF AVOIDANCE — To refuse to handle a tough situation, to deny your full potential, to neglect doing something that should be done will affect the physical body, the mental health, the emotional stability and even the affairs of life, and will follow you through each incarnation, until correct action is taken to balance that which has been avoided. LAW OF ACTIVITY — Every thought creates an alchemical process in the conscious mind. Every action has three elements: the Thought which conceived it, the Will which finds a way to perform the thought, and the Action which is the combination of the Thought and the Will. The force of the Action is a direct result of the strength of the Thought and the power of the Will. Nothing happens by accident. We cannot deny responsibility for our actions. LAW OF CONTINUITY — Nothing in the Universe ever dies, is lost, or is destroyed. Everything simply changes form, and becomes a part of forever. LAW OF CONSEQUENCE — Each of us has pure free will, whether we choose to exercise it or not. In the failure to exercise our free will, we are yielding that gift to an outside force to make our choices for us. We have the free will to control all things in our life, at all times. However, we must be aware that we will suffer the consequences of each choice and decision, whether made by us or by another. The responsibility for the use of free will is ours, and we are charged with taking responsibility for our decisions and our actions.
