As I Listen
As I listen to the music
All around me, I feel it's
Rhythm as well! It fills me!
The percussion of two hearts in love
Moves me in ways I can't fully describe.
Intricate melodies of birds,
The call of the wolf, rhythms of frogs
and
The songs of my beloved cricket bring
to my eyes
Tears of joy too deep for words.
Even in the ocean, Brother Dolphin is heard
As he rejoices with Orca, and the
whales.
Their songs are by far the best to my ears
With their trills, and trumpets and
Clicking as if to be
Whispering
a blessing to all the Sea Folk.
Back on dry land,
the trees lift their arms
Singing their part
as the winds whistle through.
The rain pitter-pats
a tiny drum beat.
Oh,
I long to dance then
Out of hot summer heat!
The thunder rolls deep and strong and loud.
My heart pounds with delight at his wonderful sound.
So many artists in
this grand symphony...
When I listen
I am astounded!
No mere mortal can as much wonder produce,
Nor can a
mere mortal conceive
The most delicate intricacies
Of Nature's Symphonic Delight.
But the Spirit of man can.
The Spirit hears it all.
The Spirit understands.
The Spirit hears the symphony
And translates it to our frail
And oh-so-human minds.
